About Us

Burton Lodge are a modern and well equipped kennels with facilities for the training and care of racing greyhounds. Based on the outskirts of Wickford, Essex with plenty of open countryside, Burton Lodge provides access to many footpaths to take the dogs on their regular walks and owners are also encouraged to visit and walk their greyhounds on Sunday mornings.

The kennels are set in five acres of land with many paddocks where the greyhounds can exercise throughout the day to provide them with fresh air which helps to keep them active.

A new all weather gallop in excess of 200m opened in April 2010 is proving to be a great success and helps develop the greyhounds to their full potential.

The kennels have a loyal and hard working team of both full time and part time staff all dedicated to the work of Burton Lodge, one of the busiest in the country.

Paul Young’s home track is Romford and he is renowned for his success with high class greyhounds in top competitions.
